boleadoras – a weapon

Boleadoras can be used as a missile or slingshot to catch run-away animals.

In Argentina, at the Inuit and the sibirian Chukchi this weapon is still in use until today.

The weapon is a three bounded string construction with a weight on each end, usually a hard wooden ball or a sack filled with stones, scraps or something equal.
